What is my role as a teacher and tutor?
Biology is enjoyed by most, but students can be overwhelmed by the sheer volume of content to memorise and apply.
I guide students so that they can revise more effectively, focus on using the specification to ensure learning is thorough and ultimately perform better in exams.

Small Group Lessons
My live group lessons take place weekly throughout the whole year so that we can cover the whole specification.
Lessons are exam board specific so you are always learning content & answering questions that are relevant to you!

Students who want individual support can book one to one lessons depending on my availability.
GCSE students are encouraged to join one of my small group classes as this is much more affordable.
A-level or homeschooled students can book lessons Monday to Friday before 3pm at a cheaper OFF PEAK rate.
After school and weekend lessons are PEAK times so are dearer.
About me
I am a qualified Biology teacher at all secondary school levels. I have been teaching for over twenty years in state schools, independent schools, boarding schools and international schools. I have worked in schools in London, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Madrid! Now I tutor full time as it allows me to juggle family life and work.
I have been an assistant examiner for the OCR A-level exam board for many years which gives me first-hand experience of exam structure and the complete exam assessment process.
I studied A-levels in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I gained my Biomedical Science degree and Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at the University of Birmingham.

I teach all lessons based on the exam board specification so that no content is missed out. This ensures there are no gaps in knowledge. If students have weekly lessons from the beginning of their GCSE or A-level course I can teach the entire content.

Methodical
Learning Biology requires a good routine with regards to learning content, memorising and practicing questions. During our lessons I will regularly ask to see your revision material and test you on it so that you remain disciplined and organised.
